Qube Gallery is putting out a final call to Artists for its most popular annual Art Exhibition, the Qube Open which closes for entries on Tuesday 30th June. There is a £500 First Prize up for grabs and a ‘People’s Choice Prize’ of a month’s hire of the gallery which last year went to local artist, Jenny Harrison.
Organiser of the event, Qube Arts Officer, Charlotte Jackson, said this was her most exciting time of the year. She said:
“The next two weeks will be crazy if previous years are to go by! I’m always really excited at the variety and quality of entries we receive.”
Money raised from the exhibition will provide invaluable funds towards the running of the gallery and exhibition space at Qube. Charlotte said:
“The Gallery attracts around six thousand local people and visitors every year. The entry fees from the Qube Open help us to carry on bringing high quality exhibitions and art events to Oswestry throughout the year”.
Entries are welcomed in any medium for this year’s chosen theme which is: ‘Life: A Different Perspective.’
Entry to the Qube Open Exhibition costs £10.00 per submission. The closing date for applications is Tuesday, June 30th.
